Another marvelous example of what wine is by wine-guru Mladen Rožanić! Much like his other wines, Porco Rosso wins you over completely just on the nose! Wonderfully rustic, lean, bright, yet juicy, funky, and spicy! In the glass, you feel that special "terra rossa" soil of Istria, which is bursting with minerals and iron. It is unfiltered so you will see some cloudiness accompanied by some of that lovable barnyard, natural wine "elegance." However, the juiciness that you get from its lively character universally wins over all sorts of palates. A completely unpretentious wine that is suppose to make people smile and be happy -- hence the label!
